Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using QRgenie at qrgenie.runtime-hub.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of the Service
QRgenie is a free, browser-based tool that generates QR codes entirely on your device. The Service is provided by RuntimeHub as part of its suite of client-side web utilities. No user account is required to use the Service.
Permitted use
You may use QRgenie to generate QR codes for personal, educational, and commercial purposes. There is no restriction on the number of codes you generate or how you use the resulting PNG and SVG files.
You are solely responsible for the content you encode into QR codes. You agree not to use the Service to generate codes that encode:
- Malicious URLs (phishing pages, malware download links, or deceptive content)
- Content that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or deceptive advertising
Intellectual property
The QRgenie application — including its design, code, and content — is owned by RuntimeHub. The underlying QR code generation library is used under an open-source MIT licence. QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
The QR code images you generate are yours. RuntimeHub makes no claim over any output file produced by the Service.
No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. RuntimeHub does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
QR codes generated by the Service conform to the QR Code specification, but RuntimeHub cannot guarantee that any particular scanning device or application will be able to read every code. Scanning compatibility depends on the scanning device, the physical printing quality, and the error-correction level chosen.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RuntimeHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if RuntimeHub has been advised of the possibility of such damages. RuntimeHub's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed zero euros, reflecting the fact that the Service is provided free of charge.
Advertising
The Service may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. RuntimeHub does not control the content of these advertisements and is not responsible for any claims they make. Ads are served based on contextual targeting, not on any personal data collected from your use of QRgenie.
Links to third-party services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including other RuntimeHub tools. These links are provided for convenience. RuntimeHub is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any external website.
Changes to the Service and terms
RuntimeHub reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. These Terms of Use may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last updated.
Governing law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction where RuntimeHub operates.
